Rainy Days by Calette Corrie Duke, Bridget Nicholson & Fraser Scott Anderson

Frustrated by the Scottish sun! A clown wants to play in the rain with her friends... A sudden downpour drenches their world with joy. Inspired by the clowning style of Slava Polunin.
Callette, Bridget and Fraser are students on the Physical Theatre Diploma Course in Edinburgh.
All 3 performers have a background in acting and performance, but have came to explore and discover new styles of performing, including puppetry and mask work, but have found a love for clowning. Fraser is the creative director of a piece of puppet theatre in development that looks at what life is like for the puppets behind the scenes on a kids TV show, Bridget is a keen performer of musical theatre, and has recently started exploring Kabuki theatre and is developing an all woman adaptation, and Calette is developing her skills in puppet building and clown, and has aspirations of becoming a clown doctor.

The Earworm by Lewis Sherlock

An earworm or sticky music is a catchy tune that continually repeats through a clown's mind after it is no longer playing. This sometimes prevents them from sleeping, and in extreme cases, can bring about a fear of going to bed.
Physical and Street Theatre Performer Lewis Sherlock is an independent theatre maker. Centric to Lewis's practice is a blend of clown, choreography and heightened, often extreme physicality. Co-founder of Edinburgh's "Choral Jam", Lewis also works as a producer and director across Scotland. For full credits go to http://www.lewissherlockperformance.com/

Kikou's Audition by Camille Marmié
Kikou is one of today's leading prima ballerinas. Without a doubt. ...well, ok, she's not really, but that's just because no-one has seen her work. But now's her chance: she's got an audition (with the Royal Ballet, no less) and she's ready to show the world what she's got. All she has to do is impress the panel...

The Good, The Bad and The Poultry by Lewis Sherlock
Give a man a chicken and he'll eat for a day, give a chicken a gun and he'll be the most ‘impeckable’ gunslinger this side of Glasgow.

Physical Theatre bantam Lewis Sherlock is an independent theatre scratcher whose devised works have been stalked at Anatomy, Zoo Nights, Surge Festival and Physical Fest 2015. Centric to Lewis's pecking is a blend of clown, and heightened, often extreme physicality. He co-hatched Edinburgh's "Choral Jam."

The Third Clown by Ben Winger
“Like all dull moments it crept by without a sound, like a turtle wearing tennis shoes. The door shook on its hinges. It swung open and suddenly the turtle had swapped its sneakers for 6 inch stilettos, a blonde bob and legs that went all the way up. I invited the turtle in. It was the biggest mistake of my life. Or so I thought…"

The phenomenon of 'Resonance' occurs when a system that vibrates at some natural frequency is subjected to external vibrations of the same frequency; as a result, the system resonates or vibrates at a large amplitude. Ooooooooo!
I am performer and theatre-maker based in Glasgow. The theatre I intend to make explores concepts of our shared humanity, embraces the complexity of the world, and rejoices in our attempts to explain it, while always searching for a kinetic connectivity with an audience. I perform regularly with Blue Man Group, a non-verbal playful, experiential theatre show with a strong percussive musical element. I was delighted to take part in last November's Clown Cabaret Scratch Night with a piece that used mathematics as a metaphor to explore how humans behave when we are confronted by complexity. This summer I am very excited to be creating a show with Director and Storyteller, Naomi O Kelly, for the Scottish Puppetry Showcase with Puppet Animation Scotland at the Festival Mondial des Théâtres des Marionnettes in Charleville, France, and at the Edinburgh Fringe. ronan.mcmahon@gmail.com . Gustav, Jakob and Gretel Martyr, The Creative Martyrs have been performing cabaret in myriad form since 1883, unsung but still eager to communicate their apolitical political whimsy. Unsung, silent, silencing, screaming, shouting and standing up.

She has taken the big step into internet dating, they have exchanged words and found that they have a lot in common, now it's time to meet face to face. Will they be as handsome as they are on their profile picture? Will they recognise her?
A first date is always nerve racking, What should I wear? What do I say? How do I act? Will it be romantic? Could he be the one?
So many questions you ask yourself, but does it always turn out as you expected?

What happens when we confront a boundary to our understanding? Do we close up in fear of an unknown? Do we laugh it off? Are we OK with it? How do we react to the word “Mathematics”? Are we inspired? Do we sweat at an awful school memory of ineptitude? Are we enthused or depressed by complexity?
“If mathematics were a building it would resemble a pyramid erected upside down. Built on a narrow base, the structure would tower into the clouds, each floor larger than the one below” - Prof. Ian Stewart, Letters to a Young Mathematician

About me:
My name is Ronan McMahon and I am performer and theatre-maker from Ireland, based in Glasgow. The theatre I make explores concepts of our shared humanity, embraces the complexity of the world, and rejoices in our attempts to explain it, while always searching for a kinetic connectivity with an audience. I perform regularly with Blue Man Group in the US and I have made work for young audiences, including Norman Shadowboxer at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010. I am currently developing an ensemble piece called Bare Bones which aims to understand the three "big M's": Mathematics, Mental Health, and Motown Music. Thank you to Mel, Saras and Tim for their help in development and for letting me perform. ronan.mcmahon@gmail.com
